David Lane, Founder and CEO

Entrepreneur, experienced investor and asset manager, David founded CalShore Management out of his vision to offer a full spectrum of world-class services to investors through a single entity that leverages cutting-edge technology, in combination with transparency and real-time accountability, to achieve maximum results.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Emory University as a student-athlete in track and pole-vaulting for the Emory Eagles. At Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School he went on to earn his MBA. He is also a licensed California Realtor. David and his wife reside in Los Angeles, California. His personal ties to this community inspire him every day to play a role in the responsible growth, economic health, and quality of life here.

He knows the greater-LA real estate market down to the most intricate detail. For over a decade on the California coast, David has distinguished himself in the real estate community as a leading advisor, analyst, strategist, and acquisitions and investments manager. As an investor, himself, in single and multi-family properties, David understands the nuances of investing, the potential pitfalls and how to avoid them, and how to maximize efficiency and, in turn, profitability.

He describes his Cal Shore Management CEO role as encompassing the oversight of all acquisitions, asset management, sourcing capital, investor relations, and building strategic partnerships. The company’s business model is grounded in its data-driven, technology-forward mindset, in combination with investor-centric service and opportunity creation.

By integrating property management services in-house, David is able to assure investors of highly capable, reliable handling of the full spectrum of issues that maintain and improve the value of a property.

As a licensed Realtor, David’s clients benefit from his keen instincts and depth of knowledge of available investment opportunities. He always has eyes open and an ear to the ground to identify potential opportunities ahead of the pack. Mastery of all the transactional elements of real estate is the high bar he has set for himself as the means to ensure all clients the highest level of professionalism.

David considers the “capstone” of his vision for CalShore Management to be that of serving his clients and his community simultaneously, by expertly managing assets to maximize return on investment while contributing to the sustainable, eco-conscious growth and vitality of the greater Los Angeles area.

Dr. Timothy Lane, Partner 

Tim is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at two Harvard School of Medicine affiliated hospitals in Boston and capped off his formal training with a fellowship in Basel, Switzerland. He practiced orthopedic surgery, specializing in joint replacement, from 1983 until 2021.

Tim has been a real estate investor for over 30 years. His past and current investments include raw land for development and conservation, student rental housing in the form of houses and apartments, and institutional investing in commercial real estate with several different organizations. Now retired from his career in medicine, he is up-leveling his involvement in the world of real estate investing, bringing sage wisdom and strategic advice to a new generation of investors. In collaborating with his son, David Lane, he sees synergy and boundless potential for CalShore Management to flourish and rapidly achieve recognition for excellence in the investment management world.
